Bio-Gene is an innovative Australian company that has recognised the tremendous potential that resides within Australian native plants and has discovered a new naturally occurring insecticide called Qcide. Bio-Gene is the only supplier in the world of both the natural product and the synthesised equivalent of Qcide and has patents and trade Marks in place. Natural Qcide is an insecticide discovered in the leaves of a eucalypt tree and is a product with enormous potential. It is a versatile dispatcher of insects producing 100% mortality at concentrations of 3% or less. It attacks the Octopamine receptor at the base of the insect’s brain, through which Qcide paralyses their central nervous system. Fortunately humans don’t have octopamine receptors so it has no effect on our nervous system. In fact Qcide is extremely low toxic that it would be considered non-toxic to mammals at doses of less than 10% in product formulations, this substance is environmentally safe and friendly, in other words “Green”!

Natural Qcide is extracted from the leaves of a rare sub set of Eucalyptus trees which will be grown in controlled farming systems to Bio-Gene’s exacting standards.
